Accelerated Product Development offers a variety of different workshops and training tailored to meet the needs of the client.
Within each workshop, material is structured around independent modules. This approach provides maximum flexibility in tailoring a workshop to meet each client's specific needs. In addition, each workshop includes numerous hands-on exercises to emphasize the key learning points and stimulate the learning experience for each participant.

Accelerated Product Development
Our flagship workshop that employs Lean and Six Sigma techniques to enable companies achieve product development excellence. Key topics in this workshop include:
- Lean fundamentals specifically tailored to the needs of product development
- Demand and capacity planning in an office setting where product development takes place
- Reuse concepts and the importance of minimizing variation in the development process
- Knowledge management and effective use of product data and information to maximum the benefits from product development
- Manufacturing and supply chain integration with product development

Lean Manufacturing
An introductory course that explores the basic concepts of Lean Manufacturing. Key topics that are covered in this workshop include:
- Lean fundamentals and the concepts of flow, waste, and value streams
- Assessing the benefits and impact of manufacturing parts in a traditional “batch processing” approach compared to a “single-piece flow” approach
- Tools and techniques to identify and eliminate waste in the manufacturing process
- Implementation steps to transform a factory from a traditional functional structure into a cellular model
Six Sigma Green Belt
An introductory course that explores the basic concepts of Six Sigma and Statistical Process Control. Key topics include:
- The DMAIC approach for identifying, analyzing, and reducing variation
- Application and use of statistical tools including histograms, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), control charts, measurement system evaluation (MSE), process capability (Cp and CpK), and control plans

Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerencing (GD&T)*
An introductory course that reviews geometric controls and requirements in accordance with ASME Y14.5M-1994. Key topics include:
- Assessing the benefits of GD&T compared to the coordinate dimensioning system
- A review of each geometric characteristic and proper application in accordance with the requirements of the ASME Y14.5M-1994 document
- Proper inspection techniques and examples of methods to inspect each geometric control
*Note: The facilitator for this workshop is Senior-Level certified in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerencing (ASME Y14.5M-1994) by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
Each workshop participant receives a copy of all training materials. In addition, ADP provides electronic files of all templates and tools presented in each workshop.
